Customer account tracking

Follow account sales and collections alongside the customer account.

Keep customer-account movement separate from the sale record and follow open balances and collections more clearly within the same customer account.

The business workspace is not public; access is verified on the server according to permission scope.

An account sale is associated with a saved customer

When recording a deferred sale, choose a saved customer in your business. The sale amount is tracked as a debit movement in the customer account; the cash-sale flow can also be used without selecting a customer.

Record a collection as its own movement

A collection creates a separate movement in the customer account instead of changing the original sale. This makes the sale amount, collected amount and remaining balance easy to distinguish.

  • Choose the collection date in the transaction record.
  • Check the collection amount against the open balance.
  • Review a customer's account movements in date order.

Read customer-account movement separately from sales reporting

The customer account is for following debits and collections. Daily sales and net revenue reporting are presented separately from valid sales records, making operational control clearer.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you decide

What is the difference between an account sale and a cash sale?

An account sale selects a saved customer and posts the sale amount to that customer's balance. Selecting a customer is optional for a cash sale.

Does recording a collection change the sale amount?

No. A collection is saved as a separate customer-account movement, so the original sale amount remains intact.

Can I see the remaining balance for each customer?

Yes. The customer account summary shows debit, collection and remaining-balance movements together for that customer.
