BUSINAR · PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Businar, operated by Sancar Software & Development, processes data when you use the Businar website, web application, and Android application.
1. Data we process
We process the data needed to provide a business-management workspace. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- account and contact details, such as your name, email address, role, and password-verification data; and, if you choose to use the public contact form, the name, email address, phone number, and message you submit;
- business details, including business name, currency, subscription requests, and the settings you enter;
- business records you choose to enter, such as products, barcodes, stock, sales, customer and account records, payment references, support requests, and e-commerce connection settings;
- security and technical data, such as session data, audit records, browser or app state needed to secure access, and limited network-security signals; and
- only when you grant the relevant device permission: camera data used to scan a barcode, notification permission and a device push token used for notifications, or a file that you explicitly select for import.
Passwords are stored as password-verification data rather than displayed as plaintext. Camera access is requested only for a barcode-scanning action, and selected import files are validated for the requested import flow.
Optional Google sign-in
You can choose to continue with Google on supported web and Android versions. We use the unique account identifier (sub), email address and name from Google's identity response to create your Businar account, verify sign-in or establish an account link you confirm. The created account details and its Google account link are retained. This sign-in method does not request access to your Gmail messages or Drive files. Google manages account selection and consent screens; actions on those screens are covered by Google's own privacy policy.
The Google ID token is processed during verification and is not stored in the Businar database. The temporary sign-in record is valid for 5 minutes, and the step for creating or linking an account with a verified identity for 10 minutes. Temporary records can contain the Google account identifier, email and name. Records that expired at least 24 hours earlier are cleaned up in limited batches during later sign-in requests; they are not deleted immediately on expiry and may remain until cleanup. The created account and identity link follow the account-data retention and deletion process below.
2. Why we use data
We use data to create and secure accounts, keep each business workspace separate, provide sales, stock, customer, reporting, and subscription features, respond to support and contact requests, prevent abuse, maintain backups, and meet applicable legal obligations.
To diagnose registration problems, we also keep daily aggregate counts of landing-page views, registration-form views, form starts, validation errors and submission outcomes. These counters contain no form values, account identifiers, cookies, IP addresses or advertising identifiers. They count events rather than unique people and are separate from optional Google Ads measurement.
On a supported Android version, you can separately enable a weekly reminder. Your preference, the last app-open time and reminder times stay only on this device in local storage excluded from backups; this feature does not send them to the server. After seven days without opening the app, a quiet, general reminder may appear at most once a week. It contains no account or business information. You can turn it off in the app settings and revoke notification permission in your phone settings. Android may delay it due to battery or system conditions.
3. Sharing, advertising measurement and access
We do not sell personal data. The authenticated business workspace does not display third-party advertising. On Businar's public marketing pages, we use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether an advertising click leads to a business-account registration.
That measurement may process online identifiers, such as advertising cookies or ad-click identifiers, together with page and technical browser information. It is controlled by the advertising-measurement choice shown on the site. We do not send passwords, business records, payment references, or other workspace data to Google Ads for this purpose, and we do not use this measurement for personalised advertising or remarketing.
You can allow or decline advertising measurement through the measurement control on public pages. If you decline, the Google tag is configured not to use advertising or analytics storage. Google processes information it receives under its own Business Data Responsibility information.
Business data is available to the members of the relevant business according to their roles. Platform support may access information only when it is necessary to operate or support the service and within the applicable access controls.
We may use infrastructure and delivery providers that are necessary to run the service. If you enable a connection to an external e-commerce service or choose an email-delivery or file-import feature, the relevant data is handled by that provider for that enabled feature.
4. Advertising and choices
Businar may use Google Mobile Ads in the Android application only on selected public, informational pages. We do not place advertising in the signed-in business workspace, fast sales, barcode scanning, product imports, reports, subscription or checkout flows, or administration screens.
When an ad is requested, Google Mobile Ads may process technical and advertising data such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interaction information, and diagnostics data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and apply the user's consent choices. Google processes this information under its own privacy terms.
Where required, the Android app uses Google's consent technology before requesting ads and provides an in-app privacy and advertising choices entry point. You can change relevant choices there at any time.
5. Security
Businar uses encrypted HTTPS connections, role-based access checks, protected session handling, and audit records for critical actions. No system can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your password and only grant team access that is necessary for the role.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account and business data while it is needed to operate the workspace, maintain security and backups, resolve support matters, or meet legal recordkeeping obligations. When data is no longer needed for these purposes, it is deleted or anonymised in line with the applicable process.
You can request deletion of your Businar account and associated personal data through the account-deletion process. Some business, financial, security, or audit records may need to be retained where required by law or to protect the service; we explain any such limitation when confirming a request.
Read the account-deletion process →7. Your choices and privacy questions
You can review and update business data through the features available to your role. For privacy questions, access concerns, or a deletion request, sign in to your business panel and submit a support request through the “Report a problem” area. This provides a way to verify that the requester is authorised for the relevant business.
8. Children
Businar is a business-management service and is not directed to children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at this address, with its revision date shown above.
